Great Quality, Great Value, Great Location

I visited Amsterdam with a friend last September and I found this hotel to be a decent option for our first time in the Netherlands. For the two of us it was around US$1100 for five nights. The room was a bit small (but we expected this as this is typical in Europe). It fit two twin beds that were adjacent to each other. The mattress was thin and sat on top of a solid platform which was different, but we slept fine and I prefer firm beds. The bathroom was also a bit small but manageable, and came with shower amenities. It was extremely conveniently located over the tracks of Centraal Station and we couldn't hear any noise coming from the trains or the city. It was a sweltering 90F/32C week and this hotel had air conditioning (I know, very American of us). As an added bonus the TV had some Dutch and German channels that I cycled through for fun. For this price I can't complain! This is a good option if you're on a budget and have a friend who isn't comfortable staying in a hostel.

Ibis Amsterdam hotel offers a fantastic stay with its great location, just perfect for exploring the city. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. The nice view from the room added an extra touch of charm to the experience. Perfectly located hotel for exploring Amsterdam

I had a great stay in this hotel recently in one of their smaller, budget, "cozy" rooms. This Ibis is perfectly located 5 mins walk from the Centraal station/Eurostar. You can easily access the tram network to get around Amsterdam, find hire bikes, take a boat trip around the canals, or take the FREE boat shuttle to the Northern areas of Amsterdam (3 were running back and forth every few minutes when we were there - the trip itself only takes about 5 minutes). If you want to venture further afield, we took the metro (underground style train network) to a concert at the AFAS concert hall 30 mins South which was very simple. We also caught an 800 bus from the Centraal bus depot (upstairs) to the historic Windmills area of Zaanse Schans - cheaper than a coach tour! The Hotel itself was well appointed with a bar area - unfortunately we didn't have time to stop for food or drink here. The best thing was a small "shop" in the foyer selling essentials and simple drinks & food which can be bought for snacks 24/7. The lobby was manned by friendly reception staff at all times enabling you to come and go as you pleased. We stayed on floor 5 and there was never a sound from the trains. The room itself is definitely cozy! If you require space or luxury this probably isn't the room for you - though I believe larger ones are available. As a room for two people we found it perfect for our needs - the enclosed shower & toilet room could maybe do with a bit more space but we thought it was basically fine. Comes with a well lit mirror handwash, Shower gel & shampoo and a hair dryer. We had a nice view facing the canals and historic buildings of Amsterdam. Ironing facilities are available at the end of each floor. Rooms were kept clean by friendly cleaning staff. Unfortunately the area is currently being renovated and this means there are a lot of roadworks outside - this didn't cause us any nuisance though. Do not get this hotel mixed up with the other Ibis styles nearby - I think this one is the better of the two. My only real negatives: The TV could maybe have done with a few more channels - the choice was quite basic with no apparent radio channels. The rooms do not come with a kettle - we took our own travel kettle etc but apparently they are available at reception. I didn't get a response to an email I sent - but I 'm sure if I'd followed up with a phone call I could've got through to someone. All in all I'd recommend this hotel if you want a well located base for a few days in this great city!

The location is great if you don’t mind the train station , the rooms are super small but it’s doable. One guy in the reception helped me and give tea 🫖 because I had cold and need a drink tea. The location is super close to anywhere you want to go.

We loved the location of this hotel. We took the train from the airport and 20 minutes later were at Amsterdam Central Station. It took about 5 minutes to walk to the hotel. So many places are within walking distance and the trams stop right in front if you'd rather ride. Beds are comfy and the climate of the room was perfect. The triple room was a bit small for all 3 of us, but it worked out great. You can store things under the beds. That was a plus and the bathroom was surprisingly modern and larger than most. Everything in the room and lobby were very clean. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. Customer service was above and beyond! Everyone was kind, knowledgable and very receptive to our needs. Nafisah and Glennisa were amazing during our stay. I would definitely stay here again!
